Recently my brother told me that he tried killing himself a couple of years ago. He told me that he felt like life wasn’t worth it. He told me that the only reason he didn’t kill himself is because the day before he was supposed to do it Lullabies by All Time Low came up on his shuffle. He told me that he felt selfish for thinking those thoughts after listening to that song. He told me that he didn’t want to put my family though that pain, the same pain that was screaming at him through lyrics. He told me that Alex Gaskarth’s words are the reason he is still alive.

:’) Alex Gaskarth truly has a way with words, in my opinion.

Behind the headphones, I was scared. I was sad, I was lonely, I was confused. I was a million things, but I was anything but happy. Behind the headphones, I hated myself and I was angry. Those headphones saved my life.

Ever since the Maine Squeezes made the jump with BTH I’ve gone to bed more at peace than ever before. I love to think that just maybe we’ve made a difference in someones life.

Tonight especially, I go to bed with a large smile on my face knowing we may very well make it to the next step.
